Roman Reigns to defend the Intercontinental Championship against Samoa Joe on Monday Night!

On Monday night, the first RAW of 2018, there will be an Intercontinental Championship match, between Roman Reigns and Samoa Joe.

After weekend of feuds involving the likes of Cesaro, Sheamus, Samoa Joe and the three members of the Shield (Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns)

The two battled for the title on Christmas Day, however the match finished after Reigns was disqualified for continually beating up Joe and not backing off when the official counted to five.

Reigns was later fined $5,000 for touching an official.

General Manager Kurt Angle, announced the match on his Twitter, even saying if Reigns is disqualified he will lose the belt!

Dean Ambrose faces a lengthy spell on the sidelines after being injured by Joe a few weeks ago on RAW, with WWE claiming he would be out for seven to nine months, but it seems like he will be back in three or four.

It also remains to be seen what will happen when he does return, after Rollins won the tag-team titles with Jason Jordan last week on RAW, which was a surprise.

There’s sure to be more announcements on the way in the coming days as WWE look to start 2018 with a bang.

QUESTION – Do you think Roman Reigns will defend his title?
